Luxury weekend breaks at Ard Carraig Country House in Hollywood, West Wicklow, are aimed at those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy a relaxing time, while being pampered. People arrive as 'house guests' of the owner with everyone eating at the same table. Situated on 5.5 acres in the middle of the Wiclow Hills, en route to the Wicklow Gap, the house is located in a very secluded area. Within a few paces of the house the discerning weekender can find walks through the hills, and forest walks. Bicycles are also available for the more energetic person. Several golf clubs and riding stables very close by. A dog, two miniature ponies, a donkey and a pet lamb are part of the stock of animals. The facilities at the Ard Carraig include: an indoor heated swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, sun lounge and sunbed. Aquaerobics,Yoga, meditation and Chinese massage therapy is also offered and can be arranged. All the cooking is produced by the owner Ray Barror, with homemade breads, cakes, scones and plenty of surprises. Potatoes, lettuce, herbs, and eggs are also home produced. The accommodation consists of two guest double bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Only weekends or longer stays are available. Weekend rates are € 250 per person Friday lunchtime to Sunday lunchtime, dinner is included. Prices for longer stays on request. ,
