Art History Ireland
The History of Art was offered as an academic subject for the first time in UCC in 2001. It may be studied as a degree subject, which a student intends to follow in Second and Third Arts, or it may be taken as an extra subject for the first year only. In Second and Third Arts, History of Art cannot be combined with subjects in Group 2 (Applied Mathematics, Greek and Roman Civilization, Irish and Studies in Psychology).,

National Committee for History
The ICHS was founded in 1938 to represent Ireland on the International Committee of Historical Sciences. It sponsors an annual conference and is responsible for a number of publications. The ICHS also monitors developments in academic history in Ireland. In 2000 the ICHS joined with the Royal Irish Academy to form the National Committee of History,
